As you may recall in October 2007 I came out of retirement and with the backing of Welsh, Anderson, Carter, and Stowe, a $4.5 billion private equity firm, formed Retrievex. In addition to the challenge of getting “back in the game” I believed then, and still do, that the Records Management industry would benefit from an acquisitive organization, led by an industry insider who understood that many sellers might want a “second bite at the apple”.
Since that time we have grown the business nicely through an acquisition in the New York Metropolitan area as well as opening “greenfield” Records Management operations in Philadelphia and Hartford, CT. At the same time we have built an experienced management team and completed the conversion to a company-wide records management system.
Now that the management team is in place and the system conversion complete we have renewed our commitment to expand our footprint and I have asked Joe Nezi to lead that effort as our EVP of Business Development. Joe was a key member of our senior management team at Pierce Leahy and led our Sales effort nationally while also filling the role of President of our Canadian business.
